Trek In Eventide
Genre: Puzzle/Narrative
Platform: PC Windows
Role: Game Designer / Production
Team: Yijia Guo, Luke Kim, Waner Li
Trek In Eventide is a narrative-driven puzzle game where you venture into a series of rooms, recollecting your fragmented memories from a past car accident.
About the Game:
You died in an car accident at the age of 22. Before your consciousness completely disappeared, you came here first. You are looking back at the fragmented life you had when you were 8, 10, 12 , 16, and 22 years old, across five super liminal rooms one by one. The time you stay in space is getting shorter and shorter, and your life has entered a real countdown. At the end of time, what is waiting for you? At that time, how will you choose?
Main Mechanism:
1. Countdown in Countdown: the story will inevitably come to an end with the passage of time, and the countdown in each room is the countdown to real time;
2. Your operations will enrich your game experience, but will not affect the outcome of the game. Only your final choice affects your ending.
3. In a limited space, interact with items in the environment, such as clicking, dragging, and pressing buttons.
My Contributions:
I ensured the game was optimized and ran smoothly between each room.Implemented and designed puzzles throughout the gameplay.
I designed the puzzles, notes, and was in charge of smoothly combining all levels together.
I organized the team by assisitng and setting up GitHub repositories in order to smoothly make any changes and work more efficiently.
