Uncode Learn more Genre: Turn-based, strategy card game Platform: Physical Card Game Role: Game Designer Team: Luke Kim, Olliver Denton, Shoneq Das
Uncode is a vault breaking card game about experiencing the incrementally tense mood of hacker’s heist. The goal of the game is to crack the code to the vault. Players draw cards and steal from opponents to collect the necessary code cards. Some drawn cards may reveal a piece of the code, while others may be hack cards that grant special advantages. The clock is ticking! Once the game begins, the authorities are on their way, adding pressure to crack the code before it's too late.

Rules:
  • Choose a dealer to shuffle all code and hack cards together.
  • Draw 4 code cards and place them face-down as the vault code.
  • Shuffle and deal 4 cards to each player.
  • Place the rest of the deck face-down as the draw pile.
  • Each player needs space for a code deck of up to 5 cards.
  • Set a 15-minute timer—some hack cards may add time.
  • The player to the left of the dealer starts the game.
  • Turns go clockwise.
  • On your turn, draw 1 card.
  • Play 1 code card onto your code deck.
  • Play a hack card (optional).
  • Rearrange your code deck only on your turn.
  • Once placed, you cannot look at a code card again.
  • End your turn by saying "pass".
